I pinned a bunch of Easter recipes on Pinterest and couldn’t decide which to make. Choosing a recipe often feels harder than making it — I can spend hours flipping through cookbooks and browsing pins before settling on one.
To make the decision easier, I let my family vote on the treats they wanted. The coconut macaroon nests from Two Peas & Their Pod won — probably because of the Nutella and candy eggs. They’re adorable and taste fantastic. I used the same macaroon base I use for my chocolate-dipped macaroons because I already knew we loved that recipe.
These are simple to prepare, and my kids had a blast decorating them. My seven-year-old especially loved helping. After we made them he even told me to hurry up and post the recipe because they were so good!
So, here is Coconut Macaroons with Nutella — a fun Easter cookie to make with kids. If you enjoy these, you might also like the Cream Cheese Nest Cookies.
