Sticky Asian-Style Meatballs with Savory Glaze

Ingredients:
1 lb ground beef (or 1/2 lb ground beef and 1/2 lb ground pork)
3/4 cup pineapple juice
1/2 cup hoisin sauce
1 tablespoon dark sesame oil
2 tablespoons white vinegar
1 tablespoon grated fresh ginger
1 1/2 teaspoons hot chili-garlic sauce (or to taste)

Directions:
Use your preferred meatball recipe, combining and seasoning the meat, then form into small, bite-sized meatballs.
Cook the meatballs by baking on a lined sheet pan at 375°F (190°C) for 15–20 minutes, or sauté in a skillet over medium heat until evenly browned and cooked through.
While the meatballs cook, combine the pineapple juice, hoisin sauce, dark sesame oil, white vinegar, grated ginger, and chili-garlic sauce in a saucepan. Bring to a gentle boil over medium heat, stirring frequently, and simmer uncovered until the sauce thickens, about 10–15 minutes.
Transfer the cooked meatballs to a serving dish and pour the hot sauce over them, tossing gently to coat. Serve warm.
